Loose ridge tiles? Time for a dry ridge roofing system
More than likely, it’s not been fixed right, or bad weather and extreme temperature fluctuations have cracked the sand and mortar between them. It needs to be addressed before it pulls away completely, potentially damaging your roof or injuring someone in the process. Our dry ridge roofing system specialism at Complete Roofing Solutions Yorkshire is the way to go. We're based in Bridlington and work across East Yorkshire right through to Leeds.
What is a dry ridge roofing system?
A dry ridge roofing system involves the use of screws and clamps to secure ridge tiles, as opposed to traditional sand and mortar. Not only does the waterproof union between the screws divert water away from the join, but the tiles themselves are fixed to a ridge roll - rather than the roof - to help with ventilation. We can install such a system for your property and use either new tiles or existing ones to do so.

Heritage property?
It’s not always possible to use a dry ridge roofing system with heritage or period properties, given the stipulations that British Standards have when it comes to ongoing maintenance. BS5534 and BS216:2018 stipulate that traditional sand and cement mortar should be used in the fixing of ridge tiles as well as for repair work. Complete Roofing Solutions Yorkshire have a long history with sand and cement mortar though and can provide whatever help you need.
Our remit covers both homes and businesses, and we can also sort out any roofline issues while we’re there. We’ve been doing this kind of work for years and you can see some of the feedback by checking our ratings on Facebook, Google and Yell. We work across Yorkshire.

"Quick and efficient service. The guys were professional and polite and kept me informed of all work needed, tidied up after themselves. Reasonably priced and reliable, came as promised which is not always the case with tradesmen. Happy with work and would recommend."
